Why families choose it
Two different reasons, both good ones
Some parents come because the child is too young to send alone. Others come because they want the language too, and this is the only period of life where both are possible at once.
There is a third effect that families report afterwards and rarely expect: a parent who has spent the week struggling in a second language asks their child different questions at dinner.
How it works

A reasonable first trip
If your family has never done this before, this is the version with the fewest unknowns: the child is never alone, the parent sees the school daily, and everything happens inside one building.
