Why this matters
Most online platforms cannot say this
The teachers are the same people who teach on our Cebu campus, and the levelling and materials are the same Cambridge system. Not separately hired online tutors, and not a simplified syllabus.
It is worth saying plainly, because most online English platforms cannot. They hire freelance tutors: no campus, no shared preparation standard, no single levelling system that runs from beginning to end. Change tutor and you change how you are taught.
SOP's online course is the same school, teaching another way. On-campus is immersion: you walk into a place where English runs all day. Online is undivided attention: one teacher, at a time you chose. Both are complete courses, not a full version and a lesser one.
Fees
Six courses, and what one lesson costs
What most people actually compare is the price of a single lesson, so both figures are given. Fees are the full list price for one term, with no separate charge for materials or for the platform. Buying several terms together attracts a discount; our staff will confirm the exact figure with you.

Per-lesson figures are the term list price divided by the number of lessons, rounded to the nearest dollar. Cambridge English is for ages 7 to 80; Conversation English is for ages 15 and over. US dollar amounts are converted at the current rate and are indicative only.

Professional Business English, in preparation
60 lessons of 50 minutes, list price NT$42,000 (US$1,319). This one is not open for enrolment yet, and it does not appear on the enrolment form either.
It is mentioned here because there is no point hiding a course we are preparing — but it has to be said plainly that you cannot sign up for it today. The six in the table above are the ones you can buy. This page will be updated once a start date is set.
How lessons work
What to know before you enrol
The full rules on refunds, absence, suspension and changes are in the online student handbook. It is currently published in Chinese only — if anything in it matters to you, write to us and we will go through it with you in English. Below are the points people ask about most; the handbook is what actually governs.
- One-to-one throughout — not small groups, and not pre-recorded video
- You choose your own time slots; lessons are scheduled on Cebu time (UTC+8)
- Open to ages 7 to 80 (Cambridge English); Conversation English is for ages 15 and over
- Lessons run in a system built by SOP itself, in your browser, with nothing to install
- Cancel at least four hours before a lesson and the lesson is not deducted
- Lessons lost to a teacher's absence, or to a power cut or typhoon, are credited back automatically
- Suspension requires supporting documents, lasts at most six months, once per course
- Your account is for your own use; gifted lessons cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash
- Online courses do not currently award a completion certificate
Who provides this, and who you pay
How teaching and payment are divided
The courses are provided and taught by SOP Education Center Inc. in the Philippines. Tuition is collected and remitted by BeLeader International Education.
BeLeader's role is the collection and remittance of tuition, not the provision of the course. Teaching, scheduling, teachers and the system are all on the SOP side.
Requests concerning refunds, absence, suspension or changes go to service@sop.com.ph, and are governed by the online student handbook.
The enrolment form is not yet available in English. Write to us and we will take you through it directly — you will not be sent to a form you cannot read.
