Yes, and they are already included in the fee. But the number depends on the month: in July and August, three meals a day (breakfast 07:00–08:00, lunch 12:00–13:30, dinner 17:00–18:30). In the other ten months (January to June and September to December), lunch and dinner only — no breakfast is served in those months. In both cases meals are not served at weekends. In the months without breakfast, rooms have a kitchenette with an induction hob, and there are convenience stores and breakfast places downstairs and nearby. SOP accepts students from 4 to over 70; there is no age that is too early or too late. Research suggests that before about age seven a child absorbs a language in something close to the way they absorbed their first one. As a rough guide: ages 3–7 is the window where sound and a feel for the language settle most naturally, through games and real situations; 8–12 is when comprehension is strong enough to build a complete foundation across listening, speaking, reading and writing; 13–18 is where intensive study during holidays builds a real advantage for international schools and university; 18 and over is career and life — promotion, career change, study abroad, migration or work overseas.

SOP uses hotel-standard accommodation in the centre of Cebu, with power and internet that do not drop and everything within reach. A swimming pool, a gym and convenience stores are right there, and Ayala Center is a walk away. Downtown is Cebu's main development area, so infrastructure is comparatively complete: the area is served by the metropolitan water utility, whereas schools further out more often depend on groundwater or community tanks, where stability varies. Accommodation, lessons, meals and daily needs are all in one place.

SOP's courses are built around a high proportion of one-to-one lessons, so a student speaks with a teacher directly every day. The difference from a group class is simply how much a student says: in a 50-minute group class, an individual student might speak for only a few minutes; one-to-one, they use English for the entire lesson. That is why the ratio is the single biggest factor in how fast someone improves. The regional office provides full administrative support: visa applications, the WEG permit that minors need to travel to the Philippines, flight advice, a pre-departure briefing, airport pick-up for students staying on campus, and support while in Cebu. Before you travel we send a complete preparation guide and checklist. Once a student arrives, staff on the Cebu campus take over — study, daily life, medical or emergency situations are all handled directly.

Yes. SOP runs a parent-and-child programme where the child and the parent study in separate classes appropriate to their own level, learning during the day and sharing the evening, with family activities arranged separately. Because SOP accepts students from 4 to 70, three generations travelling together is also possible — children's, adult intensive and senior classes all run at the same time.
